Club History

The Kiwanis Club of Norwalk Ohio was chartered June 16, 1919.

We recognize and honor the "Students of the Month" from Norwalk, St. Paul, Monroeville, and Western Reserve High Schools.

We provide an annual Christmas Party for pre-school children in the Norwalk area.

We put on Kiwanis Family Arts in the Park

We donate to local and international organizations and projects such as Read Around the World, Stuff the Bus, Weekends Without Hunger, the Salvation Army, Norwalk Area United Fund, Norwalk Area Food Bank, the Huron County Non-Food Bank, Eliminate, and many others.

We honor the work of past and present visionaries who helped to build the community we live in today.

Scholarships

The Kiwanis Club of Norwalk Ohio awards several scholarships to seniors at
Norwalk High School and rotates annually to other schools in Huron County.

Key Club

Key Club is a junior service club patterned after Kiwanis. Key Club has its own classifications based on school interests. Through Key Clubs, thousands of students are receiving training in leadership and service. Kiwanis is proud to work with our local Key Clubs and sponsor student involvement in Key Club.

4-H "A" Grade Banquet

The Kiwanis Club of Norwalk Ohio has sponsored the annual Kiwanis 4-H "A" Grade Banquet for over 70 years. This banquet is well attended and recognizes the accomplishments and effort put forth by 4-H members. It is our way of rewarding a job well done!

Key Leader

Key Leader is a weekend experiential leadership program for today's young leaders. This life-changing event focuses on service leadership as the first, most meaningful leadership experience. A Key Leader will learn the most important lesson of leadership, success comes from helping others succeed.

Aktion Club

Aktion Club allows adults living with disabilities to participate in community service projects, gain leadership skills, and become more involved in society. Norwalk Aktion Club meets monthly at the Huron County Board of DD Offices.
